Where to volunteer in the Texas Medical Center ?

I have already volunteered at multiple hospitals, and they simply don't give you much patient exposure or responsibility in the hosiptal. It's not very "hands on". At this point, I am really only interested in volunteering at "free clinics". I want to volunteer at a place that serves the poor, under-privileged. Any ideas ?Where to volunteer in the Texas Medical Center ?
The American Red Cross has many "hands on" activities where you will work directly with the poor.

Also see this web site for even more ideas (even if you aren't a teen, you will find it helpful):

Call 211; they are the experts in non profits. They can help you find what you are seeking. Don't discount working at a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen. The poor and underprivileged are not always just in hospitals/clinics.

Hope this helps.
