If you are planning to do a student fellowship at Asan or any other medical or education facility, you cannot apply for a visa on your own. You must apply and be approved by an accredited university and the university will then send you the documents you need to submit to the nearest Korean consulate. Allow at least 8 weeks or longer for processing.
