A friend is going to have a surgery-hysterectomy at Montefiore Medical Center, New York City.

Has anyone had experience (good or bad) with the hospital? Is it a good hospital?

It has a very good reputation. However, I always Question hysterectomies. Did your friend get a 2nd opinion?

I've had ovarian cysts; endometriosis, uterine fibroids %26amp; polyps %26amp; I had laproscopic surgery for all without getting an hysterectomy.

The surgeon should be an expert in laproscopic surgery %26amp; not believe in hysterectomies unless absolutely necessary.



Google the hospital %26amp; look up the MD to see his training, etc.
