Is SUNY Downstate Medical Center a good medical school?

I'm interested in Brooklyn College's BA/MD program, and it gives full tuition coverage for Downstate Medical.

Does Downstate Medical school have a good reputation as a good medical school? Would I be able to find employment upon graduating from it? Or would it increase my chances if I apply to a more recognized medical school? Is SUNY Downstate Medical Center a good medical school?
You can get a Residency upon graduating from ANY Medical School in the US. There are actually more Residency spots than US Medical Grads, which is why Foreign Medical Grads can get into residencies here.

If you have a particular specialty in mind, some Medical Schools place students in some specialties more than others. You won't have any problem getting a primary care residency (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics) from any Med School, but NeuroSurgery or Interventional Radiology might be another story. Even then, if you work hard and take full advantage of "away" rotation opportunities in your 4th year of Medical School, you can really get into just about any specialty from almost any Medical School.
