What do you think of the army firing the general in charge of the Walter Reed Medical Center?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070301/ap_o鈥?/a>

Do you think this was the right thing to do given the accusations of inadequate treatment of wounded soldiers? Do you think that the charges against the Medical Center are actually considered inadequate treatment? Or do you think that the Army has the right to keep wounded soldiers from talking to the media? What do you think of the army firing the general in charge of the Walter Reed Medical Center?
I think I don't really care one way or the other.
He was proably just reasigned . to a VA hospitalWhat do you think of the army firing the general in charge of the Walter Reed Medical Center?
I think he should have to live in that rat hole for the next 5 years or so.....
unnecessary
Doesn't make much difference what General is there, there are still only so many bucks to spend. In wartime all the bucks are being spent over there, not here. Has always been that way, and it will never change.

At Walter Reed the administration has to spend what money they do have where it will do the most good. Would you rather that they spend it on building maintenance instead of on the returning wounded solders????? Somehow I don't think so!!!!!!!
Walter Reed was on the chopping block scheduled to be closed(to save money)!!!

In the middle of two wars no less!!!

I suspect the general was fired to protect those who made the decision to close that facility. Can you say bush and co.

Yet again this administration has shown it's utter stupidity and and disregard for the American People!

When are we gonna wake up get out of this stupid I raq war and throw bush, cheney, rumsfeld and who ever else got us into this mess (and please don't mention 911, Iraq had nothing to do with 911) in jail?

Impeach bush NOW!!!
It won't change a thing. I use to work for the VA. COrruption and Abuse is too wide spread.
It will not change a dam thing. The military will still treat the wounded and disabled like garbage since they can't get anything useful out of them anymore. Sure, they will trot out a handful of guys to parade in front of media that have been well treated but all that is just PR bull.

I have a friend that was disabled in Iraq and the VA gave him a 1970's style surplus wheelchair to get around. It didn't work well so he never used it and he sat at home in the bed most of the day since he couldn't get around. Finally, the family got tired fighting the VA to get a proper wheelchair and got private donations to by him a wheelchair that worked.
Someone needed to be throw under the bus, it just happened to be his turn.

Who is really responsible? Probably the civilian government employees who enabled this to happen over a period of years.
