What is the best way to get to Houston (Medical Center district) from Katy?

How long does it take during morning and evening rush hour?

Is the ride as terrible as people say? What is the best way to get to Houston (Medical Center district) from Katy?
Yes, the traffic is horrible, esp. in the morning rush. But, this is a pretty good route :

1: Start out going EAST on US-90 / HIGHWAY BLVD toward DANOVER RD. 1.3 miles

2: Turn RIGHT onto US-90 / KATY FORT BEND RD / ROESNER RD. %26lt;0.1 miles

3: Turn LEFT onto I-10 / US-90 E / KATY FWY. Continue to follow I-10 / KATY FWY. 1.2 miles

4: Keep LEFT at the fork to continue on I-10 / KATY FWY. 0.5 miles

5: Merge onto I-10 E / US-90 E via the ramp on the LEFT. 18.8 miles

6: Merge onto I-610 S via EXIT 763. 3.6 miles Map

7: Merge onto US-59 N via EXIT 8A toward DOWNTOWN. 2.9 miles

8: Take the exit toward GREENBRIAR DR / SHEPHERD DR. 0.1 miles

9: Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto SOUTHWEST FWY. %26lt;0.1 miles

10: Turn RIGHT onto GREENBRIAR DR. 1.0 miles

11: Turn LEFT onto UNIVERSITY BLVD. 0.8 miles

12: Turn LEFT onto FANNIN ST. 0.1 miles

13: Turn RIGHT onto MD ANDERSON BLVD. %26lt;0.1 miles

14: Make a U-TURN at W CULLEN CIR onto MD ANDERSON BLVD. %26lt;0.1 miles

15: End at Texas Medical Ctr

1133 John Freeman Blvd # 406, Houston, TX 77030, US
To possibly miss lots of traffic:

Try using I10 east to 99 (Grand Parkway) south to Westpark Tollway east to 610 south to South Main exit north to Texas Medical Center (about 5 miles north of 610)

Westpark Tollway requires an EZTag to pay the toll. This will cost money but it should be alot faster. What is the best way to get to Houston (Medical Center district) from Katy?
During rush hour...absolutely that bad!
Just take I-10 East to 59-North, exit Fannin St. Stay on Fannin (a one-way street) until you get to the Medical Center. You should see signs directing you toward the Med Ctr/Rice University while on Fannin St. Time soley depends on the number of folks "screwing" up on the road. If I were you, and just to be safe, I would leave home about an hour early.
Take the 298 Park %26amp; Ride.
