You need to post a link to what "abuse" is taking place. There are extremely strict guidelines as to what animal researchers can and can not do and they must post in advance anything that they are going to do with the animals. Some animal research is a necessity, and please remember that animal research usually benefits the animals more than it benefits humans - that is why they have artificial hearts for dogs now - animal research isn't about cruelty - its about trying to be good to animals. Sometimes its not pleasant, but if scientists don't do some research on some animals some of those animals will go extinct.What can I do about the disgusting acts of violence taking place at SUNY Downstate Medical Center?
For one thing, stop wasting your (and everyone else) time asking ridiculous questions on Y!Answers. March over to that hospital and express your indignation particularly to the families of those ill with some disease or affliction and whose mother,father, sister, brother, son wife, husband etc can be saved by the medicines those researchers are trying to find. Go there and tell them, "Look, I know little Johnny is sick but his life is no more important than that white mouse. Stuart Little must live!!!!!!!!"



Or go at it like what your PETA masters want you to do and firebomb the place... then you can be an activist in prison and indignantly explain to some weight lifting murderer why meat eating is bad for him and they should not serve meat in prison. Tofu is much better!!... Good luck
