In light of the Walter Reed Medical Center incident?

Does anyone know the outcome of the case and if any other VA medical centers are at risk of privatization? Also, If there is a failure to uphold the VA mission, how many investigations would it take before going that route or considering the private sector or could it take place without any investigation? In light of the Walter Reed Medical Center incident?
Walter Reed is not part of the VA system. It is a military hospital and the two systems are not the same.

The VA is one of the largest government systems and it would be years before privatization could occur. The uproar from us veterans would be trememdous and long, so don't look for it to happen too soon. Currently, the VA is the only government agency that shows a profit and is somewhat self-supporting. This is the result of GWB's appointing a business manager to the cabinet. Though he's gone now, many of his innovations remain.
